Plant-Human Quarterly

Editor Neil Shepard has published what he terms a zine, one which I could construe a chapbook/anthology. It collects twenty-one poems from the quarterly's online journal, to include well-known poets such as Ellen Bass and Nickole Brown alongside many I had not known of but have enjoyed deeply. These poems are illumined by vibrant artwork by Candela Murillo https://www.instagram.com/kamusa_art/. The zine also includes one poem I wrote for performance at the Telluride Mushroon Festival a few years back.  This poem emerged from experimentation with the Japanese form called zuihitsu, which has been well-discussed by poet and teacher Kimiko Hahn. I've posted here about that initial publication, but want to recommend the website https://otherwisecollective.com/current-issue, where one may find a steadily refreshed abundance of good writing inspired by the plant kindom (a term I prefer to "kingdom').
